SUSTAINABILITY

A GREENER FUTURE

When we first started Green & Spring we were already deeply concerned about the environmental impact of the bottles and packaging used within the beauty industry and set the bar high when we thought about recycling, sustainability and being ecologically sensitive. Rebranding ‘Green & Spring’ has given us an opportunity to go even further, minimising even more the environmental impact of  how we source, manufacture and package all our products.

‘As lovely as it is to see a beautifully packaged product, what really matters is what went into the process of making it, how it will be used, and what happens to it afterwards.’

Jessica Frankopan

We have eliminated all unnecessary packaging and made any necessary packaging re-useable. Our green bottles are made from 100% post-consumer plastic and we manufacture solely in the British Isles. We have created exceptional products without compromise to their quality or our environmental goals.

Our home candles come beautifully packaged in eco-friendly kraft boxes made from recycled boxboard. Designed for versatility, these unbranded boxes can be easily re-purposed or recycled, adding a sustainable touch to every purchase. Each box is hand-tied with a ribbon made from 100% recycled polyester yarn, combining elegance with care for the planet. Our diffusers are equally considered, presented in reusable hessian gift bags that are perfect for storing toiletries, organising small essentials, or even regifting. At Green & Spring, we believe in packaging that’s as mindful as the products within.

Our Green & Spring products are proudly manufactured in Somerset where they specialise in natural botanical formulations, delivering efficacy and pleasure for 25 years. All materials are processed and distilled on site, 80% carbon neutral in production, soon to be 100% by the end of 2022. They produce hydrolats, extracts and infusions created from a wide variety of plants & flowers raised and harvested on their land in Somerset, following organic and biodynamic principles. Seeds are collected where possible for sowing in the next growing season, using manure from their donkeys as a fertiliser and mulch.

By using 100% Post-Consumer recycled plastic (PCR), we proactively avoid adding to the volume of plastic in circulation and divert plastic waste away from landfill. Any reliance on new virgin plastic, and the fossil fuel needed to produce it, has also been eliminated.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF GREEN & SPRING USING PCR?

PCR reduces virgin plastic consumption

PCR reuses recovered plastics such as single-use items

The use of PCR greatly reduces landfill dumping

PCR can be recycled again for new manufacturing

PCR plastics don’t require any further depletion of new fossil fuels

Our PCR is primarily sourced in the UK to reduce transport and lessen the carbon footprint
