Sending a gift

How will my order be packaged?

Every order is wrapped in one of our signature white boxes.  Once the box is opened and the ribbon inside untied you will find your products securely placed in a bed of coloured shred.  Please note, all of our packaging is UK sourced and can be recycled.

Can I add my own personal gift message?

Yes, as you proceed through checkout you will be given the option to write your own personal message.

Will the recipient receive any documents indicating the price of their gift?

If you are sending the order to someone other than yourself, you can be assured that no pricing information will be enclosed with your order.  A dispatch note listing the products ordered will be placed inside, but this will not include any pricing information.

About us

Why are you called Green & Spring?

We chose the name as it illustrates the colour and life force of the British countryside.  In addition, “Green” reflects our philosophy of using natural ingredients, and “Spring” refers to our use of Cowley Manor’s own spring water which bubbles up within its grounds.

Why have we used birds as our imagery?

We wanted to reflect the British countryside within our products, plus the beauty and naturalness of the ingredients. The British birds enable us to celebrate the countryside on the outside of our bottles and jars. They are all birds that can be spotted within the British Isles.

The birds also offer an original way to understand the ranges within the brand and the individual products throughout each range. Each bird represents a type of product (e.g. a bath oil) and the colours of the birds represents the range each product is from (e.g. Relaxing range is all in tones of purples).

Our products

Where do you source your ingredients from?

All our herb and flower extracts and base products are sourced from the UK.   The essential oils are ethically sourced from around the world.

Is all of your packaging UK sourced?

Yes, all our packaging is sourced in the UK.

Can all of your packaging be recycled?

Yes, all our packaging is recyclable.

Are your products natural?

Yes, all our products use 100% natural botanical materials.

Do you test your products on animals?

No, we do not test our products, nor the ingredients within them, on animals.

Why do you use essential oils in your products?

We use essential oils within all our products as they are the only material used in the cosmetic industry that is holistic, i.e. affect the mind, body and spirit and promote a greater sense of well-being.

Can I use your products if I’m pregnant?

All of our products contain essential oils which in high doses are not advised to use during pregnancy.   However, if the product washes off (ie shower gels) it is safe to use but we advise that if you have any concerns, you should speak to your doctor.

Do your products contain parabens, sulphates, petrochemicals, artificial fragrances or colours?

No, all Green & Spring products are free from parabens, SLS, SLES, PEGS, glycols, petrochemicals, synthetic colours and fragrances.

Preserving a product against fungal bacteria and viral infection in both oil and water mediums is particularly important when using high ratio botanical materials as opposed to synthetic and semi-synthetic materials which are more commonly used in the “cosmetic” industry.  Our research has lead us to avoid potential controversial ingredients such as parabens, formaldehyde, glycol & isothiazolinone, thereby eliminating the concerns attached to the environment impact such as aquatic toxicity.
